Mr. Wood is the retired Chairman and CEO of Pacific Enterprises, a holding company whose major subsidiary, Southern California Gas Company, merged with Enova Corporation to form Sempra Energy in June 1998. He serves as a Trustee of the University of Southern California, Harvey Mudd College, and the John Randolph Haynes and Dora Haynes Foundation. He has been the Chairman of the American Automobile Association and is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers. Prior to retirement, he served as a Director of the California Chamber of Commerce, the Los Angeles Business Advisors, the Los Angeles World Affairs Council, and Chairman of the Business Council for a Sustainable Energy Future.
